Zanetoberfest was our largest event to date. With over 700 people making it to the party, it also made it one of the most fun events we've ever had.
On Friday night, about 70 people joined me at the "Ski Patrol" (Super Fan) dinner at Lederhosen. Dirk, the owner (who also had a cameo on the New Years Eve NYC Pub Crawl Episode), had a spread of authentic German foods and drinks waiting for us. From Dunkleweizen to Killipitsch, he broke out everything he had. Whenever someone's beer was running low, Dirk would insist that it was immediately refilled, and immediately consumed. Of course, this lead to someone redistributing their "authentic German foods and drinks" onto the not-so-authentic German floor (in the form of vomit, just in case you were having difficulty reading between the lines).
But between the first drink, and the first (and only) puke, we all had a blast. I brought everyone up to the front room in small groups to chat and chug. Chad Youngblood, the Senior VP from FLN, and a helluva cool guy, brought the Hamburg episode of "Three Sheets" for us to watch, weeks before it hit the air.
Then we played some more games, and drank copiously - some more than others. I'd say that the "gentleman" who pulled down Steve McKenna's pants (and underwear) when Steve stood on one of the tables, was in fact, Steve McKenna'd himself. But, it made for a laugh and everyone was astounded by the size of Steve's penis. I definitely like the smaller events (oh, I'm talking about the Ski Patrol Dinner, not Steve anymore). They give me a chance to talk to people one-on-one. But, that being said, the parties are also a blast...
The next morning, Saturday, I woke up earlier that I would have liked to help set up for the Zanetoberfest event at M2. There were about fifty people running around hanging decorations, bringing kegs and food, setting up the stage, doing sound checks and bringing in the 700 one-liter steins from Spaten.
The doors opened at noon for the VIPs. They got their mugs and headed for the bars. The enormous "nightclub" had now been transformed into a bonafide "beer tent" thanks to our sponsors: Fine Living Network, Jagermeister and Spaten. Along with the German fare and German music, many people dressed up in German attire. After I hopped on stage to welcome everyone, Steve and I headed to the Red Carpet to take photos with everyone.

As 1pm rolled around, the rest of the party arrived and The Ja Ja Ja's (our German Oompah band) started playing. This was obviously their kinda party and they lived up to their reputation. They rocked. As everyone was getting their steins filled, I got back on stage (now in my lederhosen) to welcome everyone. I then brought my buddy Jim-the-cop up on stage for a chugging rematch. As Jim and I stood there, with our steins full of beer, I realized that we needed a ring-girl. So, Steve McKenna, dressed as a beer wench emerged from backstage with a sign reading ROUND ONE. Miss McKenna took the microphone and counted us off.

EINS! ZWEI! DREI! GO!!! Jim tried to cheat by knocking my glass just before we started to drink, but that did nothing for his poor chugging ability. It wasn't even a contest. I kicked his ass.
As I left the stage victoriously, The Ja Ja Ja's continued playin' while everyone got to drinkin'. I brought Chad Youngblood onstage to say "Hello" and "Thank you" to all of the fans. He announced a grassroots marketing plan and asked for everyone's participation with the FLN Three Sheets Street Crew. They handed out stickers and swag. By the end of the day, everyone was adorned with Pleepleus stickers, and several hundred T-shirts had been thrown into the crowd.
I hopped back onstage to perform the "Beer" section of my live stand up act, "Drinking Made Easy," which will be going on the road later this year with a full tour happening in the Spring. But not before Dave Hill, the "King of Miami" got on stage to introduce me. It was a great experience getting up there in front of a crowd like this. And aside from Steve McKenna interrupting me a few times, it was a success. I can't wait to show you all the full act when I come to your home towns on this tour!

The end of the day was kind of a blur. I remember Steve on stage stripping off his Beer Wench outfit and flashing the crowd his Jagermeister thong panties (I think I just threw up a little in my mouth). I took a ton of pictures on the red carpet, mingled with the crowd and reveled in the amazement of 700 "Three Sheets" fans all under the same roof.
I want to thank everyone who was a part of this event! "Three Sheets" fans are so cool, respectful, and FUN! I also want to thank Chad, Michelle, Justin and everyone from Fine Living Network for their support, and for saving the show. Thank you to The Ja Ja Ja's and Hoboken Catering. A big thank you to Jagermeister and Spaten. And a HUGE thank you to our staff who this party couldn't have happened without: Karen, Wes, Kristin, Megan, Tami, Jim-the-Cop, Steve McKenna and our beer girls Mykea, Maria and Marcie!
I hope to see all of you again soon! Well, I don't need to see "all of" Steve McKenna again, ever. But... I'm sure we will at the next event!!!
PROST!
