Zane Years Eve

Wow!  That was a PARTY!  I'm still recovering... No matter when you read this, I'm still recovering. THAT was a FUN night! Send your pictures to Photos@ZaneLamprey.com so we can post them on the site and re-live the event.

Here's how it went down:

8-ish to 9-ish:
We started out with the VIP dinner. It was great getting to know the small group before the mayhem began.  But, it was over before I knew it.  I wish I would have made it longer, and in the future I will.

9:00:
The doors opened and everyone else poured into the front room of the venue.  They bellied up to the open bar (where there was rarely any wait) and got the night started!  They also enjoyed the Firestone biergarten, which had some GREAT beers on hand including: barrel aged beer, hemp beer, real ale (cask ale), stouts, and a few others. I was too busy to enjoy it during the party, but I hit up the Firestone people before everyone else showed up. I also tapped the real ale keg after midnight. I was promised it would shower the front row of people with of beer when I did it, but nothing happened. Dammit!

9:45ish:
The doors opened to the main stage and the show started.

Sober Steve McKenna hopped on stage and welcomed everyone. He then introduced comedian Nehl Bobal, who did a few minutes before passing the mic to comedian Marc Ryan (my buddy from the Vegas episode) who tore shit up on stage. He was awesome! He's hilarious.

10:20ish:
Marc Ryan brought me on stage. I had a blast! I unveiled the 4-minute Season Four Teaser video, told some jokes, answered questions and generally busted balls for a while.

11:00:
We watched the "Three Sheets: London: New Years Eve One Hour Special." It's one of my favorite episodes to date. You can watch it at MOJOHD.com until February 1st.

While it was on (I'd already seen it a few times), I went and took photos with people on the Jagermeister red carpet.

11:45:
Steve McKenna (not necessarily sober by this point) and I hopped on the main stage and had some fun. We had a chugging contest, Steve lost, jumped around, and broke stuff... There's only one Steve McKenna! He's awesome!

12:00 midnight:
Things got nutty! DJ Morty (who is freakin amazing!) ripped it up. People danced on stage. Steve McKenna ripped of his shirt and danced like Prince. He dropped the microphone, nearly fell off the stage (twice), and did a stage dive. Wow... I mean, uh, WOW.

After midnight:
Everyone danced, laughed, took photos and DRANK.  The party wound down around 2ish. It was a GREAT NIGHT! Thank you to everyone who showed up. And thanks to the Knitting Factory, imbibe Magazine, Jagermeister, Pau Maui Vodka, Four Copas Tequila, Firestone Brewery, DJ Morty, Nehl Bobal, Marc Ryan, Steve McKenna, Karen Marines (the event coordinator), and my wife! It was such a cool group of people.

No posers, no douche bags, no Ski Patrols (OK, maybe some people were borderline Ski Patrol, but they were harmless). It was one of the most fun nights EVER.

Next stop Zane Patrick's Day in NYC! Sláinte bradán bod mór agus bás in Eireann!

Cheers, Beers and Happy New Years!

Zane
