FAQs

YOU'VE GOT QUESTIONS? WE'VE GOT ANSWERS!

What is ZaneCrawl and how is it different from past ZaneFest events?

ZaneCrawl's were the first events that Zane began hosting back in 2008. We took 50 people on buses around five different cities: Los Angeles, New York City, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. They were a BLAST! ZaneCrawl is a small event for only 50 people, whereas we had over 600 people at both the Zane Patrick's Day and Zanetoberfest parties. The purpose of this event is for Zane to teach you about the drinks, drinking customs and drinking games of different countries by taking you on an international food and drink tour of NYC. Zane, Steve McKenna and Jim-the-cop will all be there, and with 10+ hours of drinking each day, you'll have plenty of time to hang out with them. Plus, you'll meet other fantastic "Three Sheets" fans. Patrons of our past crawls (many who had so much fun that they came to more than one) have formed lifelong friendships out of these events. The ticket price will include transportation around the city, as well as all of your food and drink during the event, including dinner on Friday night and lunch AND dinner on Saturday.

Why does it cost more to go on Saturday than on Friday?

On Saturday, there is one more stop than on Friday, which includes lunch.

Why is this taking place in NYC and not my hometown?

NYC is a very diverse city. It's the perfect place to experience many cultures in a short radius. And if you don't live there, it's pretty easy to get to.

I only want to attend the brunch. Why isn't that an option?

The brunch is only for those who attend one or both days of the pub crawl. We'll give out some awards and share memories and photos from the weekend and if you weren't there for the rest of the weekend, it wouldn't be much fun for you.

I can't attend the brunch but want to pub crawl on Friday and/or Saturday. Can I get a discount?

Whether or not you can make it to the brunch, it's included in the ticket price. Unfortunately, we can't break up the weekend any other ways than we already have.

What happens after I sign up?

Once you complete your payment through Paypal, we'll have your name and email address and will be in touch with you prior to the event to give you more details. In the meantime, you can feel free to book your travel and/or accommodations in NYC. If you have any questions you can contact Karen, the event coordinator at karen@zanelamprey.com.

How many people are on the crawl?

The crawl is limited to 50 people per day (excluding Zane, special guests and staff). Once it's full, it's closed.

I like to drink A LOT, and get really drunk. Should I come?

This was an actual question - seriously. And our answer was "No." that's because the purpose of this crawl is foremost to have FUN, not to "GET HAMMERED." ZaneCrawl will be creating an immersive experience in all of the locations to give you an idea of what drinking in each respective country is like. OF COURSE DRINKS WILL BE PROVIDED in all of the locations (this is a pub crawl, afterall). But the purpose is to enjoy yourself so that the first stop is as memorable as the last. If your objective is to get "WASTED" then it would probably be cheaper to go to your local watering hole. If you want to have fun, drink some cool stuff, play games, win prizes, laugh and have an awesome time, then ZaneCrawl is for you.

Why does it cost so much?

This isn't just some lame pub crawl, bouncing between a few bars. This is a well-choreographed international excursion through the city. In addition to food, booze, a giant bus, champagne brunch, and prizes, we are incurring many more expenses. We're flying in some special guests. We will be employing security, a professional photographer and other staffers to make your crawl as fun as it can possibly be. And in some instances, we are paying to close down the restaurant or reserving a room. We also have administrative costs, web site, attorneys, yadda-yadda. Plus, can you can you really put a price tag on the once-in-a-lifetime experience of partying with Zane Lamprey, host of the world's best drinking show?

So, are my flight and hotel included in the price?

No, because people are coming from all over, people are responsible for getting to NYC on their own. Our past ZaneCrawls included hotel as well, but it alienated people who lived in the city where the crawl was taking place. So in order to accommodate locals and keep the price lower for you, you are on your own for to find a hotel or crash with a friend.

Can I get a discount?

This question has been asked many times... How can we put this? Oh... "No". It wouldn't be fair to the other people who have paid. As we said, it's not just a simple pub crawl. It really is an international excursion - with some fun surprises.

Do you have to be over 21?

Yes. And we'll be checking and verifying IDs prior to the weekend.

Me and my friends can't afford this, but we want to meet up with the group. Are you going to publish the list of bars you're going to?

No, the venues will be kept secret even to those on the crawl. They won't know where they're going until they arrive at each place. But, rest assured, it is well planned out, has great stops and even a few surprises. In order to respect those who are paying for this experience, outsiders will not be able to join our group. Most of the venues are closed to outsiders while we're there, have sections closed off to us, or have ornery doormen. Plus we'll have security to keep the stragglers away. To identify yourself as a VIP, you'll receive a Zane Crawl T-shirt and a VIP Badge so everyone knows that you're the shit. Closer to the date of the crawl, you will receive an email with information about where you'll meet to catch the bus.

How many stops are there?

There will be a minimum of five stops per day.

Will we be visiting the same places we saw on the Three Sheets pub crawl in NY?

Most of the places seen in the Three Sheets pub crawl are not large enough for the entire group. We'll likely hit a few of them, but Manhattan is filled with international bars and restaurants and you'll see a good cross section of the city.

What if I went on the ZaneCrawl NYC in 2008? Are all the stops the same?

Some of the stops may be the same. There certainly were a few VERY fun stops on that trip. But no, this will have a very different itinerary.

Is Zane really going to be there?

Hell, yes. Zane will be there every step (and drink) of the way.

I'm a vegetarian. What will we be eating?

If you have dietary restrictions, let us know and we will make accommodations for you. Most of the food will be meat, fish or chicken. And the food will be gooooood. No balut (from the Philippines episode), no caterpillars and no pig knuckles.

Will there be a test?

While cool facts and trivia will be thrown around, the purpose of the ZaneCrawl is to have a fun, memorable time and to hopefully make some new friends. You'll learn about drinking cultures, customs, and drinking games. So, yes, there will be a short written exam.

What is your refund policy?

Because we have to put down deposits and plan around a small group, there are no refunds.
