Why is it so expensive?!

General admission tickets last year were $209 and VIPs paid $509. This year, the VIP tickets are $250, and includes open bar and a two hour dinner, instead of a one hour dinner. Also, we're limiting the size of the party. At Zanetoberfest, there were more than 700 people. At Zane Years Eve 2009, we're limiting the group to 200. It gives Zane a chance to really connect with the people at the party, rather than bouncing around like a madman, and not event getting to talk to everyone. Plus, San Francisco (on New Years Eve) is the most expensive party we'll have ever thrown.

Why doesn't "Open Bar" include hard liquor?

When we were looking for a place to have our party, we came across a lot of obstacles, the biggest one being that most venues were unable to offer a full open bar package because of some city ordinances that restricted it. Hard liquor drinks will be available for purchase but are not included in the ticket price. Drinks will range in price from $6 - $10. That being said, our open bar will include an UNLIMITED supply of beer (this place makes their own - and it's damn good), wine (with a great selection), sangria (which makes you dance), and champagne (it is New Years Eve!). That's what Zane will be drinking!

How will I receive my tickets?

Once you pay for your ticket, PayPal will email you your ticket number/receipt. Print this up and bring a valid ID, to get into the event. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE TICKETS IN THE MAIL. You will need a valid ID to confirm your identity, which must match your Paypal receipt. If you are paying for more than one ticket, all of the tickets will be at the box office under your name. All guests must have a valid ID confirming that they are 21 or over.

Do I have to be 21 or over to buy a ticket or attend?

YES, this is a 21-and-over event. Security will be checking ID's at the door and if yours isn't legit, they won't let you in. And there are no refunds.

What if I buy a ticket as a gift for a friend? Can they still get in even though their name is not on the Paypal receipt?

For special circumstances, please send an email to the event coordinator at karen@zanelamprey.com. She'll make sure that the name of the person who is actually attending, is on the list. In any case, the person attending will still need to bring the Paypal receipt, and their own ID in order to get in.

Can I pay cash at the door?

No. Tickets for this event are only available in advance. There is a very specific capacity and since this is one of our smallest events, tickets will most likely sell out.

Can I send a check instead of paying with a credit card?

No, we are only accepting credit card payments through Paypal.

What does the price include?

Your VIP ticket gets you:
• A seated full course Spanish buffet dinner
• Open bar (beer, wine, sangria, champagne) from 8pm - 1am (that's 5 HOURS!)
• ZANE! in your pictures, at your table, in your face
• A "performance" by STEVE MCKENNA
• DJ, Dancing and Entertainment

What is the difference between the SKI PATROL ticket and the VIP ticket?

In addition to the things listed above for the VIP ticket, The SKI PATROL ticket includes early entry (at 7pm) for drinks and hors d'oeuvres, where you'll get a private viewing of Zane's comedy show, "Drinking Made Easy." The SKI PATROL ticket also includes a "Hangover Brunch" with Zane, which will take place on Friday morning, January 1st at Fior d'Italia from 11am - 1pm.

How do I get there?

That all depends on where you're coming from. Thirsty Bear Brewing Company is located at 661 Howard Street in the SOMA (South of Market) area of San Francisco... If you're flying in, you have several airports to choose from: SFO and Oakland are the best bets. If you're local, please be responsible and take a taxi, public transportation, or have a designated driver.

To get here by public transportation, the Montgomery Street BART station and the Powell Street BART station are about the same distance away from the venue.

If you are coming from within the city and wish to take public transportation, check out the Muni schedule for information on the best route to take to get here.. click here BART trains and shuttle buses will run extra hours on NYE, so you should be able to count on public transportation. Don't drink and drive!

Does this price include hotel and airfare?

No. You will be responsible for getting yourself to San Francisco and finding your own accommodations. Some hotel suggestions, close to the venue, are listed below. Of course there are many other hotels in SF to choose from. A Google search will give you more ideas if you need them. We know nothing about availability or pricing. Give them a shout and make it happen.

What is the attire/dress code?

It's New Years Eve, which is a good excuse to look your best. There is no official "dress code," but dress to impress. Zane will be in a coat and tie. Nuff said.

What kind of things should I expect?

Good times, new friends, laughing, great drinks, music, and fun. Because this is a smaller event, you'll have a chance to hang out with Zane in a more intimate setting. He'll be accessible for photos, questions, autographs, etc.

Is this for an episode of "Three Sheets"?

No. This is not being taped. It's just a party. Well, it's not JUST a party... It's an AWESOME PARTY. But, no, it's not for an episode of Three Sheets.

What if tickets sell out, can I still get one?

Are you familiar with the acronym S.O.L.? The venue has a specific capacity. Once the tickets sell out, there will be no way to purchase them elsewhere.

What's the refund policy?
