New York Times Review of "Have Fork Will Travel"
Although it may appear to be a blatant attempt to emulate the success of “No Reservations,” Anthony Bourdain’s highly rated show on the Travel Channel, “Mr. Lamprey doesn’t try to reinvent the frat-boy naïf,” writes New York Times reviewer Ginia Bellafante. “He plays what he knows, and ‘Have Fork, Will Travel’ gives full breadth to his persona. “
That persona (or “doltishness” as Bellafante describes it) is entirely welcome on this show. “Mr. Lamprey’s enthusiasm is completely ingenuous and refreshing.”
