Last Call with Carson Daly
Check me out on Last Call with Carson Daly!
Carson was VERY cool. It's no longer a typical talk show. We met at a bar and shot the shit. Then they edit the whole thing together and air it like a mini-documentary.

It's always 5:00 somewhere with Zane Lamprey!
Through his hit show "Three Sheets" on Fine Living Network, host Zane Lamprey explores cultures across the globe in a unique way, through their beverages!
"Alcohol is a social lubricant", says Zane. "When you drink together it makes people more relaxed and it is a shared experience. Just like when you cook with someone, it is something that brings people together. It gets people to be themselves and open up. You can go to a country and spend 100 bucks, get on a bus and look at monuments and statues. Or you can go to a pub, spend a 100 bucks on some food, a few rounds of drinks, and meet someone who is living it. I think it is best to learn about the country from him, otherwise you are just stuck with some tour guide."Source: MixingBowl.com

Zane on Conan O'Brien
My Tonight Show appearance was AMAZING! I can cross it off my bucket list, 'cause it sure as hell was on there. Conan was gracious and funny. He popped by my dressing room before and after the show. The entire staff were incredibly cool. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! Thanks for watching Three Sheets! Wouldn't have happened without YOU!

'Three Sheets' Zane Lamprey Talks Booze, Oktoberfest and Zanetoberfest
For those of us who wish that we could spend our days traveling from continent to continent just to find the local watering hole, Zane Lamprey is a hero. The Three Sheets host has been from Belgium to Croatia to Tanzania and South Korea all to find out what makes the locals tick -- at least as it relates to the bar scene.
But if you're tired of just watching Zane do his work on TV (specifically on the Fine Living Network -- weeknights at 10PM), then why not join him for a few drinks. The party lover has been hosting some parties of his own in New York, L.A. and several other cities to connect with his fans.
His upcoming bash, Zanetoberfest, will be taking place in New York City on October 3 at M2 Ultra Lounge -- and, for those in the neighborhood, you should come because it sounds like it's going to be a blast. Even our buddies over at Mutineer Magazine are involved.
But before you go running off to get your tickets, check out what Zane himself has to say. I sat down with Zane to talk about Zanetoberfest, his Three Sheets travels and the authentic Oktoberfest in Munich.Source: Digital City

'Three Sheets' Host Will Drink (and Eat) Anything)
By Shanon Cook
Coagulated sheep's blood. Pig knuckles. Snake bile. Fried crickets. Sound like ingredients you might see bubbling away in a caldron, right?
Well, these are just some of the unusual items Zane Lamprey has eaten -- yes, eaten -- during the course of his day job.
No, he's not a human garbage disposal. Lamprey is a comedian who hosts a TV program about drinking, "Three Sheets." The show follows him all over the world as he samples local libations.
Lamprey also claims to be in search of the ultimate hangover cure, which is why he's often called upon to ingest the indigestible.
Not that the drinks are any better. Anyone for a shot of Belize rum that's had a dead snake fermenting in it for about a year? If the locals drink it, so will Lamprey.
"I'll try anything once," he said, adding that "there's certainly a lot that I won't drink twice."Source: CNN

Burping His Way Around the World
By Mike Hale
In December Mojo HD, a high-definition channel that might have sat in the upper tiers of your cable or satellite grid — but probably didn’t — ceased to exist altogether. With it went a handful of original shows, the best known being “Three Sheets,” a genial boozehound’s travelogue hosted by the comedian Zane Lamprey. A fourth season of the series was nearly ready to go when Mojo’s parent, In Demand Networks, pulled the plug.
Handed lemons, the producers of “Three Sheets” have made limoncello. The endangered fourth season has been picked up by the Fine Living Network. This constitutes a significant upgrade: the show will now be available in 55 million homes rather than 10 million. It begins Monday night with a visit to the distilleries and bars of New Zealand.Source: The New York Times

Drinking show 'Three Sheets' to be toast of Fine Living Network
by Cristina Kinon
After filming four seasons in more than 50 countries, "Three Sheets" host Zane Lamprey has only one theory about the perfect hangover cure.
"There isn't one," Lamprey told the Daily News. "There are only remedies, and the best remedy is time. But some people try spicy foods to adrenaline rushes to giant meals to hair of the dog. It really depends on your state of hangover. If you're just a mess, order some fast food and take the day off."
On July 20 at 10 p.m., "Three Sheets" is moving to a new home on the Fine Living Network (FLN), where the half-hour international drinking show will air 18 never-before-seen episodes.
It previously aired on Mojo HD.
"Three Sheets" features Lamprey, a comedian, traveling around the world to partake in various cultures' drinking customs - in the process downing everything from the backwoods whisky of New Zealand to the "bee brew" of the Masai tribe in Tanzania.
"The show is basically the same because FLN liked the way it was and wanted to keep the same fan base and just grow it," said Lamprey. "The only thing that's different in season four is that we just have this new energy. It's the same great show, but it's even better."Source: NY Daily News

THREE SHEETS TO AIR EVERY WEEK NIGHT ON FLN!
It’s official! The Fine Living Network has Saved Three Sheets and will begin airing new, never-before-seen episodes on July 20, 2009. The new episodes will air every Monday night at 10pm EST/PST, followed by previously aired episodes the rest of the week at 10pm.
“We are happy to add the hilarious and knowledgeable Zane Lamprey to our talent roster,” said FLN General Manager Chad Youngblood. "And we are particularly pleased to be the new home of the cult favorite, ‘Three Sheets,’ which will add nicely to our growing line-up of cocktail shows.”
Three Sheets is premiering with New Zealand, followed by Tanzania, Lithuania, St. Martin and Cape Town. Other episodes in season four include Hawaii, Iceland, Poland, Barbados, Panama, Namibia, Tuscany, Barbados, Tahiti, New Castle, Hamburg, Lesvos, and Amsterdam. Along with a bevy of new characters, you’ll see old favorites like Pleepleus, Jim-the-Cop (Iceland) and Steve McKenna (Amsterdam).
COLOR BAR MONDAY
On December 1, 2008, MOJO went off the air, and along with it, Three Sheets. For most viewers there was no warning. They just turned on their TVs to find color bars. At that time, the Three Sheets crew and I were winding down shooting season four. And, since we were almost done filming, we were told to finish off our obligations to deliver 18 episodes.
No one was really concerned with "if" Three Sheets was going to get picked up by a new network, but how were we going to choose from the myriad of networks that would want to add such a successful show to their roster. But, for whatever baffling reason, no one was stepping up. Three Sheets was in danger of ending up on the web, and I was in danger of forever being known as “the guy who used to host that drinking show”.
So, in late December, I held a series of SAVE THREE SHEETS rallies (which doubled as pub crawls) in Los Angeles and Manhattan to bring attention to the show. Nearly 1,000 people showed up at the rallies, while others emailed the networks and talked about it on radio shows, blogs, and at water coolers everywhere. Everyone’s efforts prevailed, and it’s no secret that the credit goes to the fans for saving the show.
While FLN had shown interest at the beginning of the year, the negotiations seemed to have dragged on forever. We were sure that the deal would be done by Zane Patrick's Day (my party in NYC), but it was not. Steve McKenna, bless his drunken little heart, leaked the news at the event anyway. We were then positive that everything would be wrapped up in time for Zano De Mayo, but that didn't happen either. Steve, again, leaked the news.
Now, however, we are very happy to announce that the FLN will be using Zanedependence Day in Chicago as the official launch and premiere party for the new season of Three Sheets. They are even letting us show and uncensored version of ‘Three Sheets: Amsterdam’ that will never make it to the air. There’s a red carpet, plenty of press, video crews, Steve McKenna, Jim-the-Cop, and of course, open bar.
Now... What are we gonna do about season five???
Cheers and THANK YOU!
Zane

Drinking My Way Around the World
by Zane Lamprey
For the past three years, I’ve hosted a television show called “Three Sheets” which previously aired for three seasons on a channel called MOJO HD. My job has taken me to over 50 international destinations to, in a word, drink. It’s a pretty good job. Not only because I am gainfully employed doing something that most people consider a leisure time activity, but because as I do it, I get a truly authentic experience from the countries I visit.Source: Mutineer magazine

Ben Morrison, who was the star of the last season of MTV's "Punk'd" has over 7,000 followers on Twitter. I bet him that I could have more followers than him by June first. On April 28th, when we started our feud, after a few too many shots of tequila, I had 884 followers. The loser has to buy the other a case of beer. The World's Greatest Job!
Zane Lamprey may have to relinquish his reign over the only reality show worth watching, writes Will Siss of the Republican-American. When MojoHD, the cable channel which originally carried "Three Sheets," folded, Zane began pitching the show to other networks.
The final episode of the as-yet-unaired 4th season was shot in Amsterdam and paid for by InDemand, the company that owned MojoHD. Siss spoke to Zane by phone recently.
"I'm known as the traveling guy," Zane said. "It's sort of a blessing and curse. Having been an actor not working for years, piecing together jobs, I'm not looking this gift horse in the mouth."Source: Republican-American

Save Three Sheets!
"Three Sheets" just finished filming its fourth season, and it's looking for a new home. To promote this goal, Zane hosted a rally in Los Angeles (Dec 16) and New York City (Dec 18) in hopes of grabbing the attention of a network exec willing to add the show to their line up.

Three Sheets One of Top 5 Television Shows
Cool'ch Magazine names "Three Sheets" as one of the Top 5 Shows on TV.To celebrate the occasion, Zane sits down for an interview.
How did Zane get Three Sheets, quite possibly the best job in the world?
He auditioned for a host position for a Food Network show about a restaurant. When he got there, everyone laughed. "What?" "This isn't for the host of the show, it's for the person who's seating people." Then they told him about "Three Sheets": "You travel around and learn about drinking." Perfect fit.
Prior to hosting "Three Sheets" Zane was more a "few beers with friends once or twice a week" kind of guy (although college was a different story), but now? "Umm…six-pack an hour." Even when he's not necessarily in the mood to drink, duty calls.
Any alcohol he won't drink?
"I have not refused one yet." Although he has refused a second drink from a guy in Poland trying to ply him with numerous shots of 190 proof vodka which he insisted on packing in a doggy bag for the road.Source: Cool'ch Mag - Three Sheets

Los Angeles Times
Zane describes his ideal weekend in an article for the Los Angeles Times' Calender section. Ironically, it doesn't involve a lot of drinking.
Friday night is dinner with his wife at Firefly or Yen Sushi on Ventura; Saturday morning he takes his son for a jog around Toluca Lake and then stops by New York NY Fresh Deli for lunch. On Saturday night, he and his wife love to go to the Bridge, a bar on Cahuenga, and then head home to watch "Entourage," "Californication," and "Weeds" on the DVR.

“Three Sheets” is a funny, fantastic and intimate travel show cleverly disguised as a drinking game and pub crawl, writes M & C's April MacIntyre. New York Times Review of "Have Fork Will Travel"
Although it may appear to be a blatant attempt to emulate the success of “No Reservations,” Anthony Bourdain’s highly rated show on the Travel Channel, “Mr. Lamprey doesn’t try to reinvent the frat-boy naïf,” writes New York Times reviewer Ginia Bellafante. “He plays what he knows, and ‘Have Fork, Will Travel’ gives full breadth to his persona. “
That persona (or “doltishness” as Bellafante describes it) is entirely welcome on this show. “Mr. Lamprey’s enthusiasm is completely ingenuous and refreshing.”
