BREAKING NEWS: STEVE MCKENNA FALLS OFF STAGE

At the show in Norfolk, VA, Steve McKenna fell off the stage. He was backing up to catch the cork that I sabered off of a bottle of Champagne. He missed it, so I reached down for another bottle, but when I looked up, her was gone! He tripped over a speaker and fell of the 4-5 foot stage. His fall was cushioned by his hairy back-- so he's OK. He's been sleeping on a hot-pad and is pussying out of racing up the steps like Rocky tomorrow-- but he'll be on stage in NYC.

We have a crazy few days coming up. Because of the show schedule, we're now shooting the TV show (Drinking Made Easy for HDNet) in Philly. Then, tomorrow, after another day of shooting in Philly, we head to NYC to shoot that episode, and then stay to do the live show on Wednesday night. Then, we head back to PHILADELPHIA for the live show on Thursday, WASHINGTON, DC on Friday, SYRACUSE on Saturday and BOSTON on Sunday!

DAILY BLOG!!!

Forgive me for being negligent of my blog in the past weeks. It's been NUTS! But, I promise to blog EVERY DAY from here on in.

Here's what's been crackin. We have two giant tour buses, filled with people (and beer) that are touring the country on my stand-up comedy tour. Steve McKenna, Marc Ryan, and I are doing about 50 shows as we pepper the country with comedy (not sure if that makes any sense, but you get the point). We've played out to some AMAZING sold out crowds, and one rowdy one (I won't name it: Anaheim). The rest have been great show with audiences who are there to laugh, drink and have fun. NOTE: STEVE IS ACTUALLY FUNNY NOW! IT"S AMAZING!

If 50 shows in just two and a half months wasn't enough, we are also SHOOTING A TV SHOW called DRINKING MADE EASY. I called Mark Cuban, who owns HDNet (and the Dallas Mavericks) and said "We're already out there on the road. We should do a show about drinking in America. Wouldn't that be awesome!" He was like, "Who is this? How did you get my number?".

HDNet is VERY excited about the show. I go out and drink with the locals, as Marc Ryan goes out to distilleries, breweries and wineries. And Steve McKenna... Actually, no one's quite Steve does... But he seems to be doing it very well!

Washington, DC is sold out. Philly was, but I think they just added 50 tickets. All of the rest of the show are filling up. And at the show, everyone is filling up (on beer). Everyone seems to be so thirsty these days... Even my buses.

Last night in Austin, I tried something called "Chatroulette.com" on stage. It was hilarious. On stage was a video of me (with the audience behind me) and random people on their web cams.

I'll put the video of it up soon. I think I'll cut out the part where the entire audience saw a man masturbating... Be right back. Gotta go throw up a little...

Thanks Houston!

I tried to get everyone at the House of Blues, Houston, to squeeze in for a photo. Almost happened... Either everyone was too drunk, or I was. The crowd was so great! And you were the best sing-along audience we've ever had! What a privilege it was to play at the House Of Blues in Houston. Wow! That was fun. 'Til next time! "Houston, you're beautiful... when I'm drunk" (inside joke between me and Houston)

Shooting Again!

We just finished shooting a promo "Drinking Made Easy" on HDNet. Steve McKenna somehow ended up in his underwear, running around the parking lot. That's par for the course... Right now we're en route to Houston for our live show at the House Of Blues TODAY, Thursday! You may think my bus gives me a big head. Yes, it does about nine feet.

NO SHEETS?!?!

Is today, Wednesday, May 5, 2010 the LAST TIME YOU'LL SEE THREE SHEETS on television?! Well, it's the last time you can see it on Travel Channel-- until they decide to renew it for a season 5. RIGHT, TRAVEL CHANNEL?!?!

But, it's very possible that you won't catch Three Sheets after May 31, 2010, when FLN stops broadcasting altogether...

In 2006, we started out on a channel called INHD, which became MOJO, but which went off the air before we could air the 19 episodes of the fourth season. We then landed on FLN, where we aired the fourth season, but which is now becoming the COOKING CHANNEL. I guess distillation and fermentation don't qualify as "cooking" (although both process create an edible product that requires heat)? When Scripps Network, who owned FLN and Cooking, and recently bought Travel Channel, it looked like there was a light at the end of the tunnel in the form of Travel Channel. Seems like a perfect fit! RIGHT, TRAVEL CHANNEL?!?!

Travel Channel agreed to air Three Sheets for a month to see how it rated. Well, it's been rating fairly well. There hasn't been much promotion from the network, but word-of-mouth has made viewership quite respectable. I haven't heard from Travel Channel since it started playing there on Wednesdays at 11pm over three weeks ago. So, I have no inside scoop. All I know is that there's one more Wednesday left... Today. So it's the last time they will air it until they realize that they dedicated fan base would love to see the show continue. RIGHT, DEDICATED FAN BASE?!?!

In the meantime, I've been shooting my new show "Drinking Made Easy" for HDNet. We have a great crew (two giant buses full of 16 people) and have shot some amazing things. Check out DrinkingMadeEasy.com as we roll out blogs of our adventures-- starting soon!

Will there be more Three Sheets? Time will tell... Will I be drinking on TV once again? Hell, yeah! Watch my domestic drinking adventures Thursdays in September on HDNet!
